MPs initiative to abrogate Specialist Chambers Law supported by top Kosovo leaders, according to sources

Gazeta Express has learned that Kosovo MPs have started collecting signatures to call an extraordinary session of the Assembly next Tuesday, in a desperate effort to abrogate the Law on Specialist Chambers and Specialist Prosecutor’s Office. Sources told Gazeta Express that this initiative is being supported also by Kosovo top leaders – President Hashim Thaci, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, and Speaker Kadri Veseli. The war crimes court based at The Hague will deal with alleged crimes committed by the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
