Muslim state inside capital, Rama: Irreversible decision, but will take time

Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted through a post on the X platform to the criticism of the idea of creating a muslim state in Tirana, saying that they have crossed the limits of fantasy and mischief.

The head of the Albanian government says that the time has come for the idea of creating the Bektashi entity to be implemented, as according to him it is in complete harmony with our national interest and in the service of the necessity to preserve the priceless treasure of tolerance and religious harmony.

Further, the Prime Minister emphasizes that “from the idea to its implementation, there is a whole time to clarify everything and a whole public and legislative process to develop, so there is no rush and no need for controversy useless.”

From the idea to its implementation, there is a whole time to clarify everything and a whole public and legislative process to develop, so there is no rush and no need for pointless controversy.

In the meantime, I appeal  to many opponents is to familiarize themselves with the facts and historical contributions of the Bektashi Order in the affairs of the nation and religion in Albania, hoping that perhaps this knowledge will help them to see at least something as simple yet meaningful.

Unlike other communities, which have the advantage to belong to a very large communities, the Bektashi community is like an “orphan” in this perspective.

That is why raising the status of the World Chief Justice in Albania to the level of a sovereign entity would not only significantly reduce the real threat of the shrinking of that community to dissolution in the span of several decades, but would also guarantee a stable continuity of existence his for generations.

To discuss this issue today means protecting an extradionary value of the historical and cultural heritage of the Albanian nation, not counting other great benefits that the creation of such a sovereign entity in the world will bring to Albania and all the Albanians troubled where we live.

Yes, we have all the necessary time ahead of us to speak wisely and calmly”, said Prime Minister, Edi Rama.
