“Nan” to represent Albania at Eurovision 2026, minister Gonxhja meets Alis

TIRANA, May 1 – Ahead of Eurovision Song Contest 2026, Albania’s Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports Blendi Gonxhja met artist Alis. Alis will represent Albania with the song “Nan”.

Gonxhja shared details of the meeting on social media. He highlighted the emotional and artistic depth of the project. He also referred to the piano version of the song. According to him, it creates a simple but strong connection with the audience.

He stressed the broader importance of the participation. He described it as more than a music competition. He framed it as an opportunity to present Albania’s identity and culture internationally.

Gonxhja confirmed institutional support for the project. The ministry backs the participation as a cultural representation. It also aims to amplify Albanian emotion and identity through the performance.

He wished Alis success in the competition. He said Albania will appear with emotion and pride on the Eurovision stage.
