National Library of Albania joins annual conference in Luxembourg

TIRANA, June 19 – The National Library of Albania took part in the Annual Conference of Directors of European National Libraries in Luxembourg.

Meanwhile, the European National Libraries network brings together national libraries across Europe. The conference aims to strengthen institutional cooperation. In addition, it promotes innovation and supports the preservation of documentary and cultural heritage.

The conference serves as one of the most important professional forums in the library sector. Directors and experts from memory institutions discuss current challenges. They exchange practices and experience in digital transformation. At the same time, they address long-term preservation of collections, open access to information, and the role of libraries in the knowledge society.

The National Library of Albania was represented by Director Majlinda Toçi and bibliographer Jola Tasellari. Their participation shows the institution’s engagement in European professional dialogue. As a result, it strengthens its contribution to the development of modern library policies and practices. It also creates new opportunities for cooperation with European national libraries.
