TIRANA, June 18 – Defence Minister Ermal Nufi attended the meeting of NATO defence ministers in Brussels. Participants discussed the Alliance’s key priorities for strengthening security and collective defence across the Euro-Atlantic area.
Meanwhile, ministers highlighted the importance of maintaining unity among allies. The meeting also focused on increasing operational readiness. In addition, participants discussed stronger defence capabilities in response to emerging security threats.
In a social media post, Nufi said cooperation among allies remains essential for collective security. He added that defence investment and military modernisation provide the strongest guarantee for peace, security and the protection of shared values.
At the same time, the minister reaffirmed Albania’s commitment to NATO. He said the country will continue to contribute with responsibility and determination as a dedicated and reliable ally. As a result, Albania will further strengthen its role as a factor of stability in the region and beyond.
