The Tirana International Airport is expanding its international network. It is adding a new air route that connects Albania with one of the most popular Mediterranean tourist destinations.
First, the airport announced the launch of the new Tirana–Palma de Mallorca route. The inaugural flight took place today. It operates in cooperation with the airline Wizz Air.
In addition, airport authorities said the new connection strengthens ties between Albania and Europe. It also increases travel options for both citizens and tourists.
Moreover, the airport emphasized that the route will support tourism growth. It will also improve mobility and encourage more travel to and from Albania.
As a result, passenger flows are expected to rise. Economic links between countries may also strengthen over time.
