TIRANA, July 14 – Albania is gaining growing attention as one of Europe’s most attractive summer destinations in 2026, according to Spanish media outlet “Noticias del Vino”.
In an article by Teresa Navarro Ortega, the publication highlights Albania’s crystal-clear beaches, UNESCO-protected historic cities, mountain landscapes and affordable travel options compared with other Mediterranean destinations.
The article describes Albania as a country that offers more than coastal tourism. It presents the Albanian Riviera, Berat, Gjirokastër, Butrint, the Albanian Alps and Tirana as key destinations that combine nature, culture and history.
According to “Noticias del Vino”, Albania has attracted international interest through social media and tourism trends. The publication also points to the growing demand for authentic experiences beyond traditional tourist locations.
The Spanish media highlights the Riviera from Vlora to Ksamil, the historic character of Berat and Gjirokastër, the archaeological heritage of Butrint and the natural beauty of the Theth–Valbonë route.
Meanwhile, the article also focuses on Tirana’s transformation, cultural attractions such as Bunk’Art, and natural sites including the Blue Eye and Benja thermal baths.
“Noticias del Vino” concludes that Albania is becoming an increasingly popular destination due to its combination of landscapes, heritage and hospitality. The publication notes that the country may soon lose its image as a hidden Mediterranean destination as more international visitors discover it.
