Defense Minister Ermal Nufi today shared footage from the construction site of Guna Tactical. The company is developing one of the most important public-private investments in Albania’s defense industry.
According to Nufi, Guna Tactical will produce military clothing not only for Albania but also for the region and other countries.
Furthermore, the minister said that more than 290 people currently work in the industry. He expects that number to exceed 1,000 once the facility becomes fully operational.
Nufi also highlighted the industry’s contribution to employment.
“We are proud that this industry not only generates revenue but also creates jobs and supports communities every day,” he said.
Guna Tactical operates as a joint venture between the state-owned company KAYO and private company MSSC. The company focuses on designing, manufacturing, marketing and exporting military uniforms and accessories.
Its main customers include the Albanian Armed Forces, other security institutions, countries across the region and NATO allies.
