The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and the High Judicial Council (KLGJ) held a roundtable in Tirana on the topic “Communication of Courts with the Media.”
During the meeting, KLGJ Chair Ilir Rusi emphasized that institutional communication represents a key element of modern justice administration. He said media professionals play an important role in ensuring accurate, professional, and timely communication with the public, while also respecting judicial independence, the integrity of court proceedings, and the rights of parties involved.
Moreover, Rusi stressed that transparency and institutional communication are essential parts of a modern justice system. He noted that clear and professional communication helps strengthen public trust in the judiciary while safeguarding judicial independence and procedural integrity.
In addition, he expressed appreciation for the OSCE Presence in Albania for its continued support to the Albanian justice system. He reaffirmed the KLGJ’s commitment to ongoing cooperation in initiatives that increase transparency, improve institutional communication, and build public trust in justice.
Furthermore, the KLGJ highlighted its commitment to supporting the professional development of court media officers and promoting best practices in public communication. It stated that these efforts align with European standards of transparency and institutional accountability.
