Over 379,000 hours saved in May through five most-used tax services on e-Albania

TIRANA, June 15 – Digitalization of tax services is delivering tangible benefits for citizens and businesses. It reduces the time needed to obtain documents. It also eliminates the need for physical procedures at service counters.

Data published by the General Directorate of Taxation show that five of the most-used tax services on the e-Albania platform saved a total of 379,139 hours during May.

The most requested service was the tax payment certificate. Users accessed it 178,554 times. The certificate for payment of contributions, for both entities and individuals, was generated 146,455 times.

Tax authorities also issued 25,170 certificates for tax liability payments. They issued 22,251 certificates on turnover for the last three years. They also produced 6,709 status certificates, including active and passive status with dates.

The tax administration says online services have replaced hundreds of thousands of physical visits to service counters. The shift reduces administrative costs. It also increases public service efficiency.

Digitalization of tax processes remains a key priority for public administration reform. It aims to provide faster, more transparent and more accessible services for citizens and businesses.
