Niko Peleshi held a meeting with Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs to discuss bilateral relations and shared European and Euro-Atlantic priorities.
The discussions focused on strong relations between the two countries. Furthermore, both sides highlighted trust, solidarity, and a common vision for Europe’s future.
In addition, Peleshi expressed gratitude for Latvia’s continued support for Albania’s EU membership bid. He described EU enlargement as a strategic investment in Europe’s security and stability.
Moreover, the talks included cooperation within NATO. Both sides also discussed preparations for the NATO Summit in Tirana in 2027.
Finally, attention was given to support for Ukraine and the shared willingness to address current security challenges facing Europe.
