The PISA Board will hold its meeting in Tirana for the first time in October, Education Minister Mirela Kumbaro said. She described the meeting as one of the major international events for education and quality assessment.
Kumbaro said hosting the PISA Board meeting places Albania at the centre of discussions shaping the future of international education policies. She said the event also confirms Albania’s commitment to quality education and alignment with international developments.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education and the National Education Services Agency are continuing their analysis of the PISA 2025 results. The review will compare Albania’s performance over the years with regional countries and countries with similar socio-cultural and economic conditions. It will also consider global trends.
PISA provides an instrument for assessing and improving education systems, with students at the centre of the process.
