PM Rama visits Estonia for Lennart Meri Conference 2026, joins transatlantic security panel

TIRANA, May 15 – Prime Minister Edi Rama will carry out a working visit to Tallinn, Estonia, on Thursday. He will attend the Lennart Meri Conference 2026, one of the leading international forums on foreign policy, security and global geopolitical challenges. The event runs under the motto “Fate Favors the Bold.”

Rama will take part in the opening panel “A Bridge Over Troubled Waters: The Next Chapter of Transatlantic Cooperation.” He will speak alongside senior Euro-Atlantic leaders. The panel will focus on the future of transatlantic partnership, NATO’s European pillar, global security challenges and Ukraine’s role in the evolving European security architecture.

In addition, Rama will hold a bilateral meeting with Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal at Stenbock House. The two delegations will follow with an expanded meeting. Estonian President Alar Karis will also receive Rama at his office.

Meanwhile, Rama and the Albanian delegation will visit NATO’s Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence. They will meet the centre’s leadership. They will also receive briefings on its role in strengthening NATO cyber defence capabilities.

Later, the programme will include a visit to the Maarjamäe Memorial to the Victims of Communism. The delegation will also stop at the e-Estonia Briefing Centre. The centre showcases Estonia’s digital governance and innovation model.

The visit will conclude with an interview for the Estonian daily Postimees. Rama will speak about Albania’s EU accession perspective.
