Pogradec enjoys strong summer tourism boom

Pogradec is enjoying a strong summer tourist season. The lakeside city continues to attract large numbers of visitors from Albania and abroad.

Local authorities say tourist arrivals have risen sharply in July. Visitors choose Pogradec for its cool climate, scenic lake, and quality tourist services.

The Municipality’s Tourism Directorate also reports growing interest in the area’s cultural and natural attractions. Foreign tourists increasingly ask for information about sites in Pogradec and the surrounding region.

Tourism Director Ledian Zeqollari says cultural and historical tourism has grown significantly. He also highlights rising demand for local food experiences. Many of those visitors come from Italy.

With its beautiful lake, fresh mountain air, attractive public spaces, and competitive prices, Pogradec remains one of southeastern Albania’s top summer destinations.
