Meanwhile, police said the plan builds on previous experience in managing international sporting events. It aims to ensure smooth organisation and safety for fans and citizens.
In addition, police will introduce temporary traffic restrictions around the stadium from 16:00 on 3 June until the end of the match. The measures will be implemented in cooperation with the Tirana Municipal Police.
Several streets will be closed. These include “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard, “Pope John Paul II” Street, “Dervish Hima” Street, “Asim Zeneli” Street, “Themistokli Gërmenji” Street, “Ismail Qemali” Street, “Lekë Dukagjini” Street, “Abdyl Frashëri” Street, and Wilson Square. Traffic will be redirected in surrounding areas. Authorities said “Rruga e Elbasanit”, the Ring Road, and “Bajram Curri” Boulevard will remain open.
At the same time, police officers will carry out strict checks on fans before entry into the stadium. The checks aim to prevent the entry of prohibited items, including pyrotechnics, metal objects, and other dangerous items.
