Police Oversight Agency awards certificates to 23 officers

TIRANA, May 6 – The Police Oversight Agency held a ceremony marking the completion of a training cycle for 23 security officers.

The agency reported that 19 officers from its structures and four officers from the Kosova Police Inspectorate received certificates after completing a three-week training course on crime investigation.

Meanwhile, Police Oversight Agency head Klevis Qose attended the ceremony. The training programme received support from the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP), a United States Department of Justice initiative that supports law enforcement training and capacity building. It was also delivered in cooperation with the Security Academy.

In addition, the three-week course focused on basic investigative skills. Participants studied modern evidence collection techniques, case analysis methods, and professional standards in law enforcement work.

ICITAP and the Security Academy continued to support capacity building in the security sector. These efforts aimed to align local practices with international standards.
