TIRANA, April 28 – A nationwide environmental campaign has started in coastal municipalities as part of preparations for the tourist season.
In Lezha, municipal structures are carrying out works at Tale Beach. The sandy coastline stretches around 7 kilometres. Its width ranges from 100 to 150 metres.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images on social media from activities at Tale Beach. The beach lies around 7 kilometres from the Tirana–Lezha national road.
Tale Beach extends from the edge of the Kune-Vain lagoon to the Mat river delta. The area is considered a family-friendly destination due to its calm environment.
The beach attracts both local holidaymakers and visitors from Kosova. They increasingly describe it as a quiet family destination.
The location benefits from its proximity to the capital. Road infrastructure also improves access. The natural setting, wide public spaces and relatively low prices contribute to its growing popularity.
Authorities expect improved conditions along the coastline after the campaign. Both local and foreign visitors will benefit from the works.
The Ministry of Environment leads the initiative. It works in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. The Ministry of Defence, local municipalities, environmental organisations and hundreds of volunteers also take part.
