TIRANA, July 22 – President Bajram Begaj received the credentials of Ivory Coast’s new ambassador to Albania, Nogozene Bakayoko, during a ceremony held in Tirana.
Bakayoko, who is based in Rome, presented her credentials as she began her diplomatic mission in Albania. Begaj wished her success and expressed confidence that her work would contribute to strengthening relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, the president highlighted the positive ties between Albania and Ivory Coast. He said the two countries have opportunities to expand cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, agriculture and multilateral organizations.
Begaj also stressed the importance of completing the bilateral legal framework to support new areas of cooperation. He thanked Ivory Coast for recognizing Kosovo’s independence.
