President of the Republic Bajram Begaj welcomed the new U.S. Ambassador to Albania, Eric Wendt, at the Presidency this Saturday, where the ambassador officially presented his Letters of Credence, marking the start of his diplomatic mandate in the country.
During the ceremony, the Head of State wished Ambassador Wendt success in his new role and reaffirmed Albania’s commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with the United States.
Begaj stressed that Albania will continue working to deepen bilateral relations, guided by its foreign policy priorities and the responsibilities stemming from the close cooperation between the two countries.
“The United States is an irreplaceable partner in advancing our national interests,” President Begaj said.
Following the ceremony for the presentation of the Letters of Credence, President Begaj and Ambassador Eric Wendt also held a one-on-one meeting.
