The Maliq Municipal Council has officially announced and invited residents to take part in public consultations regarding the new administrative-territorial reform of local government units. Under the proposed changes, the Municipality of Maliq would be merged with the Municipality of Korçë.
According to the announcement, the consultations aim to gather opinions, suggestions, and proposals from citizens, institutions, businesses, and other stakeholders in order to ensure a transparent and inclusive process.
The Municipal Council has also published the schedule and locations of the consultations, which will be held across the municipality’s administrative units:
- Libonik Administrative Unit – August 13, 2026, at 10:00, Libonik Administrative Unit offices
- Pojan Administrative Unit – August 13, 2026, at 13:00, Pojan Administrative Unit offices
- Pirg Administrative Unit – August 14, 2026, at 10:00, Pirg Administrative Unit offices
- Vreshtas Administrative Unit – August 14, 2026, at 13:00, Vreshtas Administrative Unit offices
- Municipality of Maliq – August 18, 2026, at 12:00, Maliq Municipal Council Hall
- Gorë Administrative Unit – August 19, 2026, at 10:00, Gorë Administrative Unit offices
- Moglicë Administrative Unit – August 19, 2026, at 13:00, Zerec village.
