Rama: 83 mandates are our strength, we cannot let integration be held hostage

Prime Minister and Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, met today with the Party Assembly in Lezhë.

He discussed Albania’s EU accession negotiations, aiming for membership by 2030.

Rama said Albania has opened all negotiation chapters in record time, thanks to national effort and EU readiness.

“Today is our moment. We have done our part. The 83 mandates from the elections are our strength. No one can take them from us. This is the power of the Socialist Party,” Rama said.

He stressed the need for focus and unity. “We must do our work. We cannot leave excuses that delay progress. In the next local elections, we must confirm our strength,” he added.

Rama emphasized the historic nature of the process. “The Albanian people gave us 83 mandates to carry this forward. We cannot allow this process to be held hostage. We must take control and move things ahead,” he concluded.
