Rama Attends European Political Community Summit in Armenia

Prime Minister Edi Rama attends the 8th European Political Community Summit in Armenia and joins leaders in talks on strengthening European cooperation.

Rama joins the welcome dinner hosted by Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The summit gathers 48 heads of state and government on May 4–5 under the theme “Building the Future: Unity and Stability in Europe.” Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney joins as a guest, marking the first participation of a non-European country.

Leaders discuss ways to strengthen democratic resilience and improve coordination across Europe. They also advance cooperation on economic and energy security.

Rama meets Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the opening of the summit with the Albanian delegation.

European Council President António Costa and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan co-chair the summit.

Rama joins the European Coalition Against Drugs meeting, where leaders step up efforts against drug trafficking, money laundering, corruption, and synthetic drugs.

French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni co-chair the meeting.

Rama takes part in a roundtable with Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo on strengthening connectivity and economic security during the green transition.

Leaders discuss energy and digital infrastructure and work to secure supply chains and reduce dependencies.

Albania strengthens its role in European strategic discussions and supports efforts to build a more stable and united Europe.
