Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted to a report by the Audiovisual Media Authority (AMA), which found that the opposition received more media coverage than the Socialist Party in major news broadcasts during June 2026.
Rama said the findings provide clear and measurable evidence that Albania has no connection to autocratic systems or so-called regimes. He stressed that the data rely on monitoring and factual measurements rather than perceptions.
According to Rama, the report disproves claims frequently made by political and media critics who describe Albania as a regime.
Furthermore, he argued that the figures highlight what he called the failure of those who continue to predict political change while ignoring the realities reflected in official data.
Meanwhile, the AMA report showed that political parties received a total of 402.47 minutes of coverage in main news editions during June.
The Socialist Party received 36.05% of the total airtime. In contrast, opposition parties collectively received 63.95%.
Therefore, the monitoring results indicated that the opposition dominated media coverage during the reporting period.
