Rama: Competition for the construction of new buildings for the administration

In Albania, the international competition for the development of the first two projects of the Albanian Investment Corporation is being held. There are 10 prestigious studios in the competition, which will present to the international jury the project ideas for 4 new developments, which will pave the way for a new approach to the construction of offices and the creation of new contemporary service spaces for public administration.

The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, in his speech stated that these are developments and projects, which respond to the needs and vision of “Albania 2030”.

“There are ten finalists divided into two groups, five for each group, who will present their project ideas for four important developments, which are four developments that pave the way for a development and a new approach and a new role of the state’s approach to public property.

Public institutions pay several million euros in rent to exercise their activity, which are far from being worthy of our ambition Albania 2030, they are far from being worthy of the service and conditions in which state servants must work,” he said. He added that the architects were called before the international jury to reveal their ideas.

“Architects have been called to offer us their ideas and projects to give us the opportunity to build a large government complex, which will accommodate a significant number of institutions,” said Rama. Showing the specifics of this vision, Prime Minister Rama said that in this initiative it is foreseen that “the state makes public properties available and then invites local and foreign investors to the competition for the construction of projects, from which the state will benefit as the owner of the land a new infrastructure for public institutions that still live in rented premises or do not yet have their headquarters of the new century, such as the National Library”.
