Prime Minister Edi Rama has condemned the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, including the deadly attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
In a statement published on the social media platform X on Sunday, Rama expressed Albania’s solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people, calling for an immediate end to the attacks and for those responsible, along with their supporters in Tehran, to be held accountable.
Prime Minister Edi Rama’s statement:
“Albania condemns in the strongest possible terms the Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia, including the deadly attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
We stand firmly with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people. We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wish all those injured a speedy recovery.
There can be no justification for attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure. These acts threaten regional peace and the security of vital international transport routes.
The Houthis and their well-known sponsors of terror in Tehran must be held accountable.
The international community must speak with one clear and united voice: these attacks must stop immediately.”
