Prime Minister Edi Rama sent a congratulatory letter to Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti on the start of his new government mandate.
The Kosovo Prime Minister’s Office published Rama’s message today. In the letter, Rama reaffirmed the Albanian government’s readiness to strengthen cooperation with Kosovo at all levels.
“Your new government mandate gives me the opportunity to extend my warmest wishes for success. I also want to reaffirm my readiness, and that of the government I lead, to pursue comprehensive cooperation at all levels and in all fields,” Rama wrote.
He called for faster progress on the two countries’ shared path toward the European Union. He also stressed the importance of fully implementing existing agreements and launching new projects in key sectors.
“The full implementation of the agreements we have approved, as well as the review and commitment to new projects in the most important and priority sectors, will benefit our citizens and further improve and enrich their lives,” Rama said.
Meanwhile, Rama wished Kosovo further progress and invited Kurti to visit Albania.
Kosovo’s Assembly approved Kurti’s new government on September 13 with 62 votes in favor, eight against and no abstentions. The vote secured Kurti’s fourth term as prime minister.
