Prime Minister Edi Rama promotes the agrotourism site “Huqi” in Radë, Durrës. He presents it as a successful example of a fast-growing sector in Albania.
He says agrotourism investments attract more interest every year. He notes that people with strong rural ties join the sector. He also points out that agrotourism now operates throughout the week, not only on weekends.
Rama links this growth to fiscal incentives and government support policies. He says these measures increase interest in rural entrepreneurship. They also create new opportunities for local development and rural tourism.
He highlights the development of “Huqi” over time. The business expands its services and activities. It receives support from AZHBR through the National Scheme. It offers wooden cabin accommodation and serves traditional food made from local products.
Visitors enjoy nature at the site. They visit the farm and take part in activities such as fishing, boat trips, and guided walks in nearby hills.
Rama says agrotourism becomes a key pillar of sustainable rural development. It combines tourism with agriculture. It also promotes local products.
He adds that the government encourages investment in rural and mountainous areas. He calls on emigrants to invest in land and family property. Through the “Mountain Package,” the government provides incentives to support local economic growth and unlock rural potential.
