Rama Highlights Shala River as Tourists Flock to Northern Albania

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images of the Shala River on social media, showcasing one of Albania’s most popular summer destinations.

The Shala River has attracted growing numbers of Albanian and foreign visitors in recent years. Tourists visit the area for its untouched nature, crystal-clear blue waters, and adventure tourism activities.

During the June-August season, the river ranks among Albania’s top tourist attractions.

The Shala River flows from the Albanian Alps and stretches for 37 kilometers before joining the Drin River. Visitors admire its deep blue waters and dramatic mountain landscape.

Tourists also enjoy the rich natural environment and the opportunity to experience one of Albania’s most scenic destinations.

Rama’s post highlighted the increasing popularity of the Shala River as a key attraction in northern Albania.
