Rama Highlights Traditional Hospitality at Kapllani Guesthouse in Berat

Prime Minister Edi Rama has praised Kapllani Guesthouse in Berat as a successful example of traditional hospitality and rural tourism development in Albania.

In a social media post, Rama described the family-run guesthouse as a model of authentic tourism. The guesthouse welcomes both domestic and international visitors and offers traditional local flavors through products sourced from local farmers in the Berat area.

According to Rama, the cooperation between tourism businesses and local producers helps preserve regional traditions while supporting the local economy.

Berat, widely known as the “City of a Thousand Windows,” continues to attract visitors throughout the year and remains one of Albania’s most popular tourist destinations.

Tourists regularly explore the cobbled streets of Berat Castle, as well as the historic neighborhoods of Mangalem and Gorica. Visitors are drawn by the city’s rich cultural heritage, museums, churches, and mosques.

The city’s museums are among its main attractions, offering insights into Albania’s history and cultural traditions.

In addition, Berat is expanding its appeal beyond cultural tourism. The surrounding area attracts growing numbers of visitors interested in nature and adventure tourism.

Nearby attractions include traditional agritourism villages, Mount Tomorr, the Bogova Waterfall, and the Osum Canyons, which have become key highlights of the region’s tourism offer.

As Albania’s tourism sector continues to grow, guesthouses such as Kapllani demonstrate how family businesses can combine authentic hospitality, local products, and cultural heritage to create memorable experiences for visitors.
