Prime Minister Edi Rama traveled to Italy today to attend the inauguration of Albania’s Honorary Consulate in Naples.
Honorary Consul Giuseppe Lettieri will lead the consulate, which will cover the Campania region. It will serve as a reference point for the Albanian community and support the delivery of consular services.
The consulate will also promote stronger economic, cultural and social ties between Albania and Italy.
During his visit, Rama will tour the Albanian Language Chair at the University of Naples “L’Orientale.” He will also visit the University of Naples “Parthenope,” where he will attend a reception titled “Naples, a Bridge of Friendship, Cooperation and Development between Italy and Albania.”
Meanwhile, Rama will meet with the rectors of Naples’ universities at the end of his visit. Together with Minister Mirela Kumbaro, he will discuss opportunities to strengthen cooperation between Albanian and Italian universities as part of efforts to internationalize higher education.
