Rama: Investment in human capital is vital for businesses

Prime Minister Edi Rama stressed the importance of investing in human capital. He spoke at a meeting with agrotourism representatives in Tirana.

Rama urged businesses not to cut spending on staff. He said companies should pay workers well and make them feel valued. He added that human capital is essential for growth.

He also highlighted easier rules for hiring foreign workers. Businesses can now recruit workers within five days through self-declaration. Workers then arrive and complete simple documentation procedures.

Rama suggested cooperation with businesses in Gulf countries. Companies can share seasonal staff. He said Gulf countries have available workers during Albania’s tourism peak.

He noted small businesses can benefit most. Restaurants and small venues can share costs and hire qualified staff.
