Rama Meets Albanian Community in Michigan

Prime Minister Edi Rama began a several-day visit to the United States as part of Albania’s participation in the United Nations General Assembly.

Rama will begin his visit this afternoon in Michigan, where he will meet with members of the Albanian community. He also invited members of the community to join the gathering.

“This time, my United Nations week visit to America begins this afternoon with Albanians and for Albanians in Michigan. I am honored to have been invited by the community, and I invite anyone who wishes to come and join us,” Rama wrote on social media.

Rama will travel with his wife, Linda Rama, and the official Albanian delegation throughout the visit.

In New York, Rama will attend the opening of the General Debate of the United Nations General Assembly. He will also address the assembly.

Meanwhile, the prime minister will attend official receptions and high-level events. He will also meet with representatives of political institutions, business and international organizations.

In addition, Rama will meet with representatives of the Albanian diaspora in the United States. These meetings will form part of his agenda during his stay in the country.
