Prime Minister Edi Rama met today in Tirana with President Gitanas Nausėda. The meeting focused on strengthening relations between Albania and Lithuania. Both sides discussed closer political and economic cooperation.
President Nausėda reaffirmed Lithuania’s support for Albania’s EU membership bid. He expressed backing for Albania’s progress in the European integration process.
Rama highlighted Albania’s commitment to reforms. He stressed the country’s goal of advancing toward EU accession. The talks also covered EU enlargement in the Western Balkans. Leaders discussed Lithuania’s upcoming EU Council Presidency in the first half of 2027.
Both sides agreed to continue cooperation on European integration and regional stability.
