Rama: Technology Opens Global Market Opportunities for Youth

Prime Minister Edi Rama said technology is creating new opportunities for young people to access the global job market.

He spoke during a discussion with young people in Gjirokastër. He focused on innovation, employment, and entrepreneurship.

First, he said the government aims to increase funding for startup programs. At the same time, he said Albania is expanding smart labs in schools to give students early access to technology.

He said technology now allows young people to work remotely for international companies. As a result, they can earn higher incomes without leaving the country.

He said success depends on talent and determination. He added that young people can build strong careers by combining both.

He explained that smart school clubs help guide students toward technology. However, he said not all students will choose this path. Still, those who do can become self-employed and independent.

He highlighted the importance of ambition and persistence. He said those who use these opportunities can become their own bosses.

He also shared the success story of Albanian soprano Ermonela Jaho. He used her career to illustrate the power of dreams and perseverance.

He said Jaho reached some of the world’s top opera stages, including La Scala in Milan, the Royal Opera House in London, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and the Opéra National de Paris.

He said her success comes not only from talent and training, but also from discipline and determination.

He said Jaho set a goal to remain one of the longest-standing performers at the top level. He said she achieved it through strong internal drive.

He concluded that talent alone is not enough. He said success requires a strong “inner engine” of ambition and willpower.
