Prime Minister Edi Rama has thanked Prof. Evis Sala for her dedication and professionalism during her time as Minister of Health and Social Welfare.
Rama praised Sala for her work on the government’s new reform program. He also highlighted her continued contribution through her international engagement.
“I warmly thank Professor Evis Sala for her dedication, professionalism and contribution to our government as Minister of Health,” Rama said in a social media post.
He added that Sala will continue to provide valuable support while taking on further international responsibilities.
Meanwhile, Sala announced her resignation from the ministerial post. She had held the position for one year.
Sala will now focus on international commitments related to her areas of expertise. These include oncology, artificial intelligence and innovation.
In her response, Sala thanked Prime Minister Rama for his trust and support. She also expressed gratitude to doctors, nurses, health professionals and social welfare workers.
She praised their daily efforts to improve Albania’s health and social welfare system.
