Prime Minister Edi Rama will hold an official meeting in Rome with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. The meeting will take place at Palazzo Chigi at 15:00.
The talks will focus on strengthening Albania–Italy relations. The meeting follows the first intergovernmental summit held in Rome in November 2025. The two countries signed 16 cooperation agreements.
The agreements cover defense and security. They include equipment supply, technology, and maritime infrastructure in Albania. The sides also agreed to expand cooperation on a subsea renewable energy interconnector.
They will also discuss migration management. Cooperation in health and education will be addressed.
