Prime Minister Edi Rama warned that uncontrolled development could harm Theth’s tourism future.
During a meeting with residents of Theth about the Mountain Package, Rama said the government removed illegal structures to protect the village’s identity and natural beauty.
He said rapid intervention prevented further damage and helped preserve Theth as an attractive destination for visitors.
Rama explained that tourists come to Theth because of its unique landscapes and natural charm. He encouraged residents to work together and treat the entire village as a shared tourism asset.
He referred to Corsica as an example, saying local communities protect the destination because they understand that visitors choose the whole area, not just individual hotels.
Rama said Theth has the potential to develop luxury tourism, but the community must protect its environment, traditions and authentic character.
