Rama: We must seize the train of history and take Albania into the EU

Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke at the Socialist Party Assembly in Durrës today. He stressed the need for strong support. He said it is crucial to advance Albania’s EU integration.

Rama said Albanians are lucky. He said key partners now support Albania. He called it a chance to realize a long-held dream. He wants to finally move Albania out of historical difficulties. He wants to position the country in Europe officially.

He urged speed and action. He said Albania must not let the door to Europe close. He repeated that the country needs a stronger mandate. He said this is the moment to make the EU dream real.

Rama asked for support in the upcoming elections. He said they are more than local votes. They are political. He said the Socialist Party must act wisely. He compared it to moving a heavy stone to the top. He said it will secure Albania’s presence in the EU.

Finally, he called it a historical duty. He said the Socialist Party must do what is required. He concluded, “We must seize the train of history, definitely.”
