Reaction of Prime Minister Edi Rama to attacks on the United Arab Emirates

The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has reacted to the missile and drone attacks against the United Arab Emirates, describing them as an unprovoked and unjustifiable act of aggression against a sovereign state and regional peace itself.

He emphasized that targeting the UAE—a country that represents peace, stability, and international coexistence—is not only an attack on a state, but also on the very possibility of peace and security in the Persian Gulf region and beyond.

Rama also expressed full solidarity with the leadership, people, and defense forces of the UAE, adding that attempts to intimidate free nations only deepen the isolation of the perpetrators and strengthen the determination of states that defend sovereignty and global peace.

In his reaction, the Prime Minister called for Iran to be held fully accountable for this dangerous escalation, adding that such actions also harm the Iranian people themselves, who remain hostage to a regime that governs with “Stone Age” instincts.

Statement by Prime Minister Edi Rama

“The renewed missile attacks by the terrorist state of Iran against the brotherly United Arab Emirates constitute a reckless, unprovoked, and entirely unjustifiable act of aggression against a sovereign country and regional peace itself.

The United Arab Emirates faced missile and drone attacks again today, and we, Albania, condemn in the strongest possible terms this terrorist attack by a regime that continues to export violence, instability, and insecurity beyond its borders.

To target the United Arab Emirates—a country that stands for peace, progress, stability, and partnership across religions, races, languages, and regions—is not only an attack on a country, but an attack on the very possibility of peace and security in the Persian Gulf and beyond.

Our full solidarity is with the leadership, people, and defenders of the United Arab Emirates. Those who seek to terrorize free countries through missiles and intimidation should know that such acts only deepen their isolation and strengthen the resolve of those who stand for sovereignty, security, and global peace.

Iran must be held fully accountable for this dangerous escalation and, above all, for the sake of its own people, who remain hostage to a regime that governs with the instincts of the Stone Age, dragging an ancient nation ever deeper into isolation, terror, and self-destruction.”
