The Albanian Road Authority (ASRA) has announced that on August 6 and 7, 2026, traffic will be restricted on two lanes of the main Tirana–Durrës highway near the new Kashar overpass from 00:00 to 04:30.
According to the authority, the restrictions are necessary to allow the installation of steel beams as part of the Phase III expansion of the Tirana–Durrës expressway, while ensuring road safety during the construction works.
During this time, all traffic traveling from Durrës will be diverted via the Thumanë–Kashar motorway ramps. Vehicles heading to Mother Teresa International Airport or Kosovo will continue along the Kashar–Thumanë motorway, while drivers traveling to Tirana will be redirected onto the secondary road before rejoining the main highway immediately after the Kashar overpass.
