RTSH has opened applications for the 65th Festival of Song. Albanian artists, composers and creators from Albania, Kosova and the diaspora can apply from September 22 to 27. The call targets creators and performers of Albanian popular music who want to compete in this year’s festival in December. Applicants must submit songs that meet the rules through the official RTSH platform.
The competing song must be in Albanian and no longer than 4 minutes. It must also be an original work. It must not have been previously published in any form or created using artificial intelligence. Performers must be over 18 and can enter the festival with only one song. A composer can submit no more than one composition. A lyricist can submit up to two lyrics, while an arranger can submit up to two arrangements. The limits also apply to co-authorships in each category.
After applications close on September 27, RTSH will select the songs and artists for the 65th edition. The festival will return to the RTSH stage in December as one of Albania’s traditional music events.
