RTSH Symphony Orchestra brings Albanian and world classics to October 15 concert

The RTSH Symphony Orchestra will perform works by Albanian composers alongside international classical masterpieces on October 15 at the Ferdinand Deda Hall of Albanian Radio and Television.

Maestro Eno Koço will conduct the concert, which brings together different musical styles and periods. The programme features works by Aleksandër Peçi, Johann Sebastian Bach, Aleksandër Vezuli and Igor Stravinsky.

The first part includes two works for strings. Pianist Olta Tashko will perform Bach’s famous Concerto in D minor, originally written for harpsichord and adapted for piano. The orchestra will also play three short orchestral miniatures by Peçi, which Koço described as gems of Albanian music.

Meanwhile, the second part features Aleksandër Vezuli’s Albanian Dance No. 2. The evening will conclude with Stravinsky’s celebrated The Firebird.

Through this programme, the RTSH Symphony Orchestra continues to promote Albanian musical heritage while bringing major works from the international classical repertoire to local audiences.
