RTSH to continue supporting Albanian sports achievements, says Director General Eni Vasili

TIRANA, July 24 – The Albanian Ski Federation organized the gala event “Ski Excellence Night” to present the achievements of the 2025–2026 season, which it described as one of the most successful periods for Albanian winter sports. The event was broadcast by the Albanian Public Radio Television (RTSH).

The season’s main achievement was Albania’s participation in the Milano–Cortina Winter Olympic Games with a delegation of 4 alpine skiing athletes. The result marked further progress for the national team’s competitive level.

Meanwhile, the ceremony recognized the international achievements of elite athletes Lara Colturi and Denni Xhepa, who have represented Albania with strong results in global competitions.

The federation also highlighted participation in World Championships and other international events. Albanian athletes competed against countries with long traditions in snow sports and demonstrated the progress achieved in recent years.

According to the federation, the 2025–2026 season marked a turning point for winter sports in Albania. The sport has moved from an aspiration toward a national programme with European standards, professionalism and long-term Olympic goals.

The gala event received media support from RTSH. RTSH Director General Eni Vasili attended the ceremony and praised the cooperation with the Albanian Ski Federation. She said RTSH would continue promoting the achievements of Albanian athletes through its programming.

Vasili also credited the federation’s project for increasing public interest in skiing, a sport that traditionally has not had a wide following in Albania.
