The sounds of jazz returned to the “Migjeni” Theatre for another evening of the 17th edition of the “Shkodra Jazz Festival.”
The festival, which over the years has become one of the city’s major musical events, brought the quartet of artist Kejdi Barbullushi to the stage. Through improvisation, rhythm and a blend of instruments, the musicians created a unique atmosphere for the Shkodra audience. The concert was part of the festival’s program, which is also extending to various locations across the city, bringing music closer to the public.
For the festival’s artistic director, Florian Jakaj, jazz is not only a form of music but also a space where artists can express themselves freely, experiment and communicate with audiences through music.
This year, the “Shkodra Jazz Festival” has brought artists and musicians from different countries to the city, enriching its cultural scene and creating opportunities for new artistic collaborations. Percussionist Matheus Jardim was also part of the quartet and praised his experience in Albania and his collaboration with Kejdi Barbullushi.
“I feel very happy to be part of this quartet and to collaborate with a talented artist like Kejdi. I’m having a great time in Albania and I’ve met some fantastic people,” said percussionist Matheus Jardim.
The “Shkodra Jazz Festival” will continue throughout the week with more concerts, bringing new artists, diverse performances and the distinctive sounds of jazz to audiences in Shkodra.
