Shooting at Trump dinner, Berisha reacts: “A horror act”

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, reacted through a post on Facebook regarding the shooting reported during the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. Berisha described the attack as a “horror act.” Among other things, he added that the Democratic Party strongly condemns the attack, which according to him aimed to change history through a massacre.

“Horror act! Last night, an individual armed with firearms and cold weapons, identified as Cole Tomas Alen, 31 years old, a teacher from California, breached the security perimeter of the dinner hosted by President Donald Trump for the media at the Washington Hilton and, in a horrific act, opened fire.

Secret Service agents evacuated President Trump and the First Lady. The perpetrator was quickly arrested by security guards. A Secret Service employee was injured, but fortunately for the American nation and its friends, there were no casualties or injuries among the guests.

President Trump returned to the free speech dinner and delivered his scheduled remarks, in which he condemned the criminal act carried out during the Evening of Free Speech by what he described as an unstable individual, and praised the swift, courageous, and successful intervention of the Secret Service.

The Democratic Party strongly condemns this horrific act, which aimed to change history through a massacre,” Berisha wrote.
