Skënder Hita: Security is the passport for millions of tourists

Skënder Hita said security is the State Police’s “passport” for millions of tourists and visitors. He spoke at the Diaspora Summit in Tirana. The discussion focused on migration and repatriation policies.

Hita said the State Police is entering a new phase of modernization. The institution aims to become more professional, transparent, and reliable. The police will focus on service for citizens, diaspora members, and foreign visitors. Authorities are investing in technology. They are also strengthening human capacities and international cooperation.

Hita said border crossing points now use improved technology. The police increased staff training. Authorities continue improving services for citizens and tourists.

He stressed stronger community policing. The police will increase presence in tourist areas during summer. The goal is to guarantee public order and safety.

Hita also highlighted the role of Border Police. Officers manage migration flows. They fight migrant smuggling networks. They cooperate with international partners.

Hita said security remains the top priority. He noted no serious crimes against tourists. Police provided hundreds of assistance cases for visitors in need.

He concluded that the State Police will continue working with integrity. The goal is a safer, more reliable, and more welcoming Albania.
