According to reports, Lamallari inspected the camera system installed on the school premises, stressing that advanced technology and artificial intelligence will now form part of the measures aimed at creating a safer environment for students and teaching staff.

“We are here to closely observe the start of the implementation of the ‘Smart City’ program for school security,” Lamallari said, adding that “Qemal Stafa” High School and its students will be among the first to benefit from enhanced security through technology.

According to the minister, the new system combines advanced technology with the use of artificial intelligence, adding another dimension to security measures in educational institutions.

“This means greater security, not only for students, but also greater peace of mind for their parents,” Lamallari emphasized.

The minister underlined that the technology will be combined with the physical presence of the State Police in schools. Two police officers are currently stationed at “Qemal Stafa” High School and will continue to be part of the security measures during the new school year.

“This is part of the Albanian government’s broader efforts, alongside the presence of police officers in schools,” Lamallari said, stressing that technology and police presence will work together to ensure security.

“From September 14, when the new school year begins, we wish everyone success. Security is our responsibility,” the minister said.

The principal of “Qemal Stafa” High School welcomed the support aimed at strengthening security at the school.

“Quality education goes hand in hand with safer environments, which have been successfully established at our school,” she said.

The implementation of new security technologies in schools aims to create a safer and more protected environment for students and teachers, while giving parents greater reassurance and confidence as the new school year begins.
