Spring Festival returns to RTSH as 20 artists compete on opening night

TIRANA, June 6 – The Spring Festival returns to the Albanian Public Radio and Television tonight after a long absence. Twenty artists will take the stage in the opening show, which will feature special guests and a mix of classic and contemporary music.

Meanwhile, the festival’s hosts, singer Bleona Qereti and actor Nik Xhelilaj, shared their excitement after the final rehearsals. Qereti said the festival brings back memories of earlier years and reconnects audiences with some of Albanian music’s most celebrated performers. In addition, Xhelilaj said he felt privileged to host the event and highlighted the return of the live orchestra, describing it as one of the festival’s most special features.

All 20 competing artists will perform on the opening night. Afterwards, a professional jury will select 12 songs for the June 7 final. The festival will air live on Albanian Radio and Television RTSH 1, RTSH Muzikë and Radio Tirana 1. The event marks a major return to the broadcaster’s music tradition and aims to reconnect audiences with Albanian music through a renewed festival format.
