The Times Lists 11 Most Beautiful Places to Visit in Albania

British newspaper The Times has highlighted Albania as one of Europe’s most attractive travel destinations, praising its white-sand beaches, rich history, affordable flights, and growing tourism infrastructure.

The publication notes that Albania remained largely unknown to international travelers for decades. However, the country has gradually emerged as a popular destination, offering crystal-clear waters, ancient ruins, Ottoman-era towns, and dramatic mountain landscapes.

Moreover, direct and affordable flights from the United Kingdom to Tirana have made Albania increasingly accessible to foreign visitors. Modern hotels, stylish bars, and organized tours have also contributed to the country’s tourism growth.

According to The Times, Albania offers unique experiences for every traveler, from the coastline of the Albanian Riviera to the peaks of the Albanian Alps.

The newspaper recommends the following destinations:

Pogradec, known for its location on the shores of Lake Ohrid and its relaxed lakeside atmosphere.

Ksamil, famous for its turquoise waters, sandy beaches, and nearby islands.

Theth National Park, a paradise for hikers and nature lovers.

Sarandë, a vibrant coastal destination with beaches, seafood restaurants, and nightlife.
