TIRANA, August 27 – Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images of Theth on social media and described the mountain area as one of the most visited destinations by domestic and foreign tourists during the summer season.
Theth lies about 70 kilometres from Shkodër. In recent years, the area has become a prominent destination for adventure and nature tourism in Albania. During the summer, visitors explore its natural attractions as well as the cultural and historical heritage of the region.
Among the most visited sites in and around Theth are the Blue Eye, the natural pools at Ndërlysa, Grunas Waterfall, Grunas Canyon, the Theth–Valbona trail, Arapi Cave and trails through the Accursed Mountains.
Meanwhile, the area’s natural attractions complement the traditions and cultural heritage of the local community. Together, they represent an important potential for further tourism development in the Albanian Alps.
